DESCRIPTION OF ITINERARY:
DAY 01: CUZCO – PUERTO MALDONADO: At apropriate a driver will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco (Peru) which is located at 3400 m above sea level, which was the capital of the Inca´s Empire, navel of the world. The city is known as the archaeological center of the Americas. UNESCO declared Cusco a World Heritage Site in 1983 and its legacy dates back to the 15th century and is attributed to the Inca Pachacutec, who built the city’s most remarkable constructions. There are 17 colonial churches around Cusco, all of them built above Inca ceremonial temples. Afterwrds you will be driven to Puerto Maldonado, passing the local village of URCOS where we turn to the left, which is the deflection point. We continue passing the local villages of Ccatcca, Kcauri, Ocongate, Tinki, Pampacancha. Then we star to descend to the forest area which part of the Amazon, passing the villages of Quince Mil, Puerto Leguia, Mazuco travelling nearly the river. Finally arrival in Puerto Maldonado.
